Gallup Sun went to the dogs, literally, when it asked for Facebook fans to share snapshots of their doggos Aug. 26. With well over 100 comments featuring pics of canines of various persuasions, we held a contest – the three pics with the most likes get published in the paper.

So, put your paws together and let’s congratulate these fine pups or simply bark … wait … nowadays it’s “bork bork!”

It has been two years since the release of It, an adaptation of Stephen King’s 1986 novel. The film became a blockbuster and grossed more than $700 million dollars worldwide on a relatively small budget. The Big Brothers, Big Sisters branch in McKinley County, at 100 E. Aztec Ave., is such a place; where young people can find compassion and a listening ear.
