Juggernaut Music’s first two-day outdoor festival in eight years

On July 3 and 4, the Gallup Flea Market North Stage will be the site of the Freedom Fest, sponsored by Juggernaut Music.

Live performances are scheduled from 6 pm-11 pm for each day. Performances will span the genres of traditional Navajo music, hip hop and metal.

July 3 performances will include 3YE, War Motor, Death Mantra, Shadow Remains, and Alchemy.

Scheduled for July 4 are Pete Sands and the Drifters, Def-I, Sage Cornelius, the Martin Sisters, Sunburnt Stone, Cody Kelly and Arizona Dreamerz.

Earth is now trapping nearly twice as much heat due to mounting greenhouse gases in the atmosphere from carbon emissions than it did in 2005, according to a new report by NASA and the U.S. environment agency NOAA. The Albuquerque FBI Division will hold the Diversity Agent Recruitment event from 5 pm-7:30 pm as an invitation-only information session meant to familiarize special agent applicants with the unique opportunities available at the FBI.

Special Agent in Charge Raul Bujanda, of the Albuquerque FBI Division, said the FBI must reflect the makeup of the communities it serves.

On June 25, around 10:30 pm, the McKinley County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the 63-mile marker Interstate 40 westbound, about 40 miles east of Gallup.



The caller reported a multiple vehicle collision with injuries and possible fatalities.



According to the sheriff’s office’s press release deputies learned there were 5 vehicles involved in the collision, two semi-trucks and three cars.



The investigation is still ongoing, but deputies believe the driver of one of the semi-trucks, who is not being identified at this time, was approaching a traffic backup due to a collision being handled in the construction zone up ahead.
