WASHINGTON D.C.– U.S. Senator Ben Ray Luján, D-N.M., a member of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, voted to advance critical legislation that will enhance and enforce online privacy protections for children and teenagers on July 27. Co-sponsored by Senator Luján, The Kids Online Safety Act empowers kids and parents to take control over kids’ online experiences to better protect their health and well-being. Car crash in Cibola County leaves infant dead, others injured

An infant is dead after two vehicles collided on Interstate 40, near milepost 79, by Milan, N.M.

On Aug. 2, around 5:15 am, the New Mexico State Police responded to the two-vehicle fatal rollover crash.

In a press release, the state police stated that a 2004 Honda Pilot SUV and a 2012 Nissan Quest van were both traveling east in the right lane of Interstate 40. As the Honda approached the Nissan from behind, it struck the other vehicle. The case is still under investigation, but alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
