The New Mexico State Police Investigations Bureau is investigating a shooting at 6 CRB 29D that occurred in Villanueva, New Mexico Dec. 12.

According to a Dec. 14 press release, Investigations Bureau agents learned at approximately 7:15 p.m., New Mexico State Police officers were called to 6 CRB 29D in reference to a shooting which had just occurred. When officers arrived, they observed a male lying face down on the ground with a wound consistent with a gunshot.

The deceased male was identified as Alejandro Rodriguez, 39. Investigators learned that earlier in the day, Gary Hicks, 59, of Ribera, N.M. and a 43-year-old male were returning from cutting wood when the male observed...

Swerving across lanes on a divided highway led to a Gallup man, Jason Peters, 44, being stopped and eventually arrested and charged with his third DWI.

New Mexico State Police Patrolman Joe Roanhorse was traveling westbound on Highway 118 when a black Ford Explorer that was driving eastbound swerved across the divider into the westbound lane near mile marker 29. Roanhorse turned around and followed the vehicle, catching up to it near the intersection of Highway 118 and Highway 566.

MCSO needs help locating two missing juveniles

UPDATE: The two juveniles have been found and are with their families.

The McKinley County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating two juvenile runaways.

Delilah Begay was last seen at 12 Renae Blvd. in Williams Acres, New Mexico around 2:30 am Dec. 17.  Begay is five feet and four inches tall, and weighs about 120 pounds. She has brown eyes and black hair. She was last seen wearing a black sweater, black sweatpants, and checkered (black and white) Vans shoes. She was possibly picked up by a white SUV.

Gallup Police issue a missing, endangered advisory

The Gallup Police is asking for the public's help in locating Edwina Mego, 43.

Edwina is five feet and six inches tall and weighs about 180 pounds. She has brown eyes and black hair. She was last seen wearing a black jacket, a black shirt, black and grey pajama pants, and black shoes.She has a half dragon tattoo with barbed wire on her left shoulder.

She was last seen Dec. 8, around 10 pm at the Maverick gas station located at 505 U.S. Hwy. 491. Her direction of travel is unknown.
