Aggravated DWI (Seventh)
A man was seen leaving a car crash and throwing a gun into a bush by the road. Metro Dispatch reported the incident and McKinley County Sheriff’s Deputy Nocona Clark was sent to the intersection of Ark Hill Road and Francisco Pond Road
At the scene, Clark found a white Nissan Altima in a small ditch with front-end damage and the driver-side door open. One witness at the scene said he found the gun and showed it to Clark. The handgun was unloaded and Clark was told that a man identified as Maynard Miller, 44, of Gallup, had walked along the road and entered a nearby ditch and could be hiding nearby.

Gallup Police Department investigating fatal crash
Gallup Police are investigating a multi-car collision that took place on the afternoon of Sept. 29 on Mendoza Road. The collision resulted in multiple injuries to several persons, and the death of one person.
This remains an active investigation. More details will be released as they become available.

A woman who was missing her weekly unemployment benefits from her state issued card, received a text message on Aug. 24 suggesting she log in to a website to verify her identity.
She followed the instructions and said the site she reached looked like the New Mexico Work Force Solutions page.
But when she got there the page froze.
She called N.M. Work Force Solutions Aug. 30 and learned there had been cases of fraud.
The text message came from (936) 514-8952.
The bank for the fraudulent checking account was confirmed to be Wells Fargo BK NA Iowa.
The woman was asked to sign a fraud affidavit and file a report, which she did, for McKinley County...

Man found dead at pizza restaurant
Not a lot is known about the male found unresponsive outside of Big Cheese Pizza, 1516 E. Hwy. 66, Sept. 15.
Gallup Police were called to the scene at 8 am that day and were followed by emergency units. The male was deceased. His identity is unknown.
No foul play is suspected in this incident.
