New Mexico State Police conducted an operation in Gallup focusing on reducing crime on Feb. 12. New Mexico State Police Uniform, Crime Suppression Bureau, Fugitive Apprehension Unit, and Special Operations made 10 arrests during the operation.
Listed below are the subjects arrested and what they were arrested for:
Juan Medina, 20: Conspiracy to commit trafficking and possession of controlled substance (fentanyl)
John Paradise, 33: Trafficking a controlled substance (fentanyl)
Dustin Boyd, 24: Trafficking a controlled substance (fentanyl)
Arvil Billy, 49: Trafficking a controlled substance (methamphetamine)
Travis Lee Pelt, 34: Warrant for vehicle burglary
Brandi Rodriguez, 45: Possession of controlled substance (fentanyl)
Billy Gonzales, 54: Receiving transferring stolen vehicle, possession of controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of a stolen firearm
Terence Sam, 38: Warrant for child abandonment
Cody Smith, 32: Warrant for failure to appear for DWI
Jasmine Hopkins, 34: Aggravated DWI
The operation proved successful in getting 4.9 grams of fentanyl and 4.8 grams of methamphetamine off the streets of Gallup. One stolen firearm and one stolen vehicle were also recovered.
Operations like this will continue throughout the state in an effort to keep New Mexicans safe.
