Sylvester Jim, of Gallup, N.M.. died April 10, 2021. He was 36.

He was born in Gallup on Nov. 26, 1984.

Sylvester Jim was preceded in death by father Billy Jim, mother Susie Jim.

He is survived by wife Valcita Begaye, sister Corrina Jim, daughter Madison Jim and stepdaughter Tyla Peterson.

Funeral Services will be held at Rollie Mortuary on April 19, 2021 at 10:00 am.

February 22, 1937 - February 7, 2021

Emmett Bryan Wall Jr. was Bryan to most who knew him well. Bryan was born and raised, married, had a family and owned a business in Gallup. He moved to Phoenix in the 1980s and returned home to his place of birth in the early 2000s. There he lived out his life. His last day of life, Feb. 7, was spent with his son, Vincent, who held his hand as father and son enjoyed the Super Bowl.

Bryan was the first of four children of Emmett B. and Ann P. (Schmaltz) Wall of the Grand Canyon South Rim Village. He was born at St Mary’s Hospital in Gallup on Feb. 22, 1937. His family moved to Gallup several years later. He graduated from Cathedral High in 1955...

Arthur Steven Loretto of Santa Fe, N.M.  died Feb. 21, 2021 in Santa Fe. He was 52.

He was born May 7, 1968 in Zuni. He graduated from Twin Buttes High School in 1987. He lived in Albuquerque for the majority of his adult life, working for The Storehouse which works to fight food insecurity.

He was an avid Denver Broncos fan and live concert aficionado.

He is survived by his daughter Alicia Loretto of Albuquerque, brothers Larry Loretto of Zuni, Gabriel Senteney of Indianapolis, sisters Carrie Loretto of Zuni, Paula Loretto of Santa Fe, Joy Gutierrez of Albuquerque, and Jennifer Hernandez of Las Cruces, 3 grandchildren, several aunts and countless cousins, nieces and nephews.

Joe was born into the Todich’ ii’ nii (Bitter Water), born for Klizilani (Many Goats).

He was born in Ft. Defiance, Ariz. on June 22, 1935.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents Fritz Yazzie Jr, and mother Catherine Yazzie, his brothers Kenneth Yazzie, Raymond Leigh Yazzie, and grandson Monte Hunter Yazzie. He is survived by his son Lemont Yazzie, daughter in-law Michelle Johnson Yazzie, Daughter Lillian Yazzie, eight grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at a private graveside ceremony at Ft. Defiance Navajo Veterans Cemetery on Indian Route 12.

A memorial to celebrate his life will be held at a future date to be announced.
