When Anita first told me sheep don’t walk backwards I laughed until I nearly cried. Perhaps it was the calm, expressionless way she said it, but it was still one of the funniest things I had ever heard. Weeks later, it’s still laugh out loud funny. However, as I gradually toned down my laughter (though still chuckling) I could see that Anita appeared to be serious.  She told me this was a story her mother, who had owned sheep told her long ago.  Was it true or was she pulling the wool over my eyes? In Jake Plummer’s playing days, you just didn’t drop a pass during practice. Of course, it was Plummer’s job to make sure that balls were thrown accurately and with precision.

Jason Steven “Jake the Snake” Plummer played quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals, the Denver Broncos and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a career that spanned from 1997 to 2007. A Boise, Idaho, native, Plummer played collegiately at Arizona State University where, during his senior season, he led the Sun Devils to an undefeated regular season, a PAC-10 championship, and the Rose Bowl where the team lost to Ohio State 20-17.

Innovation does not always mean something has to be new. Innovation can be as simple as providing another way to look at something already in existence.

In a recent training session with one of the bull riders I train I mentioned the need for greater sensitivity during the ride.
