Dear Editor,
President Joe Biden visited Arizona on Oct. 25 to apologize for the "sin" of U.S. Boarding School Policy. I’m certainly glad someone in the government did this. I am not Native, but I have friends who I know still suffer from this horrible policy.
His apology brings to mind several other things for which he could and should apologize. He could apologize to the U.S. troops, both living and dead, that were called to a war in Vietnam based on the false Domino Theory pushed by our Foreign Policy establishment.
In addition, he should certainly also extend an apology to the troops sent to Iraq based on the false claim that Saddam Hussein had nuclear weapons. Former Sen. John McCain, Ariz., said the war was a "mistake." Our citizens were called to wrongly carry arms. Some of these troops died, some maimed, many still live.
Millions of others died in these “mistakes;" certainly an apology is in order.
Sincerely,
Mike Daly
