Navajo Nation Council to convene on Oct. 21 for the 2024 Fall Council Session

WINDOW ROCK, Ariz. — The 25th Navajo Nation Council will convene at the Navajo Nation’s capital to commence the 2024 Fall Council Session on Oct. 21, at 10 am.

“The 25th Navajo Nation Council welcomes all visitors to the People’s House to listen and participate in the 2024 Fall Council Session," 25th Navajo Nation Council Speaker Crystalyne Curley said. "The council will consider legislations that impact the Nation and continue to set the course of history for the Navajo People. Our legislative trajectory is led by compassion and wisdom in making decisions that will benefit our communities for generations to come."

Council Delegate Amber Kanazbah Crotty will lead a Domestic Violence awareness walk which will start at the Navajo Nation Museum at 8: am on Oct. 21 and end at the Navajo Nation Council Chamber.  The public is also invited to participate in a National Disability Employment Awareness Month Walk which will begin at the Chi’hootso Indian Market Place at 8 am and end at the council chamber.

The Chinle High School ROTC will serve as the Color Guard for the opening day of the Fall Session and the Kaibeto Boarding School students will provide the Pledge of Allegiance. Students from the Tuba City Elementary School will sing the National Anthem and Hoskie Benally from the Disability Advisory Council will provide the invocation.

The State of the Navajo Nation Address is scheduled to be delivered in accordance with Title 2.

Curley welcomes the public to attend the opening day of the fall session in-person or to watch as it’s live streamed online on the 25th Navajo Nation Council’s Facebook page at @navajonationcouncil. The Fall Session will also be broadcast live on the Navajo Nation Council’s YouTube channel at @NavajoNationCouncil.
