Live Sand Painting Demonstrations

Zuni Pueblo Art

There is a Zuni Pueblo ArtWalk today and Sunday. Open to visitors, 10am-5pm. Visitors will have the opportunity to see artists at work, as well as purchase one of a kind items directly from the workshops of artists like potter Carols Laate, silversmith Carlton Jamon, and fetish carver Jeff Shetima. Start at the Visitor’s Center, with shuttles available to take you to each artist’s workshop or studio along the route.

Churchrock Chapter

Churchrock Chapter is now accepting toy donations for the Christmas toy drive until Wed. Dec. 20. The toys will be distributed at the annual community Christmas dinner on Thursday Dec. 21. Public Service Announcement

Rehoboth McKinley Christian Health Care Services is responding to the current pertussis (whooping cough) outbreak in western New Mexico. As of May 15, there have been 122 cases of pertussis in New Mexico. Anyone concerned that they may have “whooping cough” may visit the clinic Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. No appointment necessary! Recycling Council

McKinley Citizens Recycling Council is a local nonprofit working to increase recycling through education, community outreach, and partnership with local government agencies. Recycling Depot

The Recycling Depot will now be open from 12-1:30pm on the first Saturdays of the month. Educators and artists are encouraged to come by and see what’s available.
