Bank of Colorado announces new director of marketing

FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Bank of Colorado announced Aug. 17 the hire of David Finkelstein as director of marketing for Bank of Colorado and Pinnacle Bank New Mexico. Finkelstein will replace Jill Marvin, who is retiring after 13 years of service with Bank of Colorado.

Previously with Karsh Hagan, a digital advertising agency based in Denver, Colo., Finkelstein served as account manager to Bank of Colorado. His responsibilities now include overseeing all marketing, advertising, and media opportunities, while focusing on new innovative ideas to enhance the customer experience.

The Gallup Film Festival will feature films from local and global directors

The Gallup Film Festival is having its fifth-year debut at the El Morro Theatre at 207 W. Coal Ave. on the weekend of September 16 - 18.

The festival grows each year, and the aim is to eventually have the whole city involved by extending its reach one block at a time.

Last year, GFF Director Knifewing Segura said he wanted the number of film submissions from directors, both indigenous and from abroad, to grow.

This year, Segura’s wish is a reality, as diverse genres of films have been submitted and Native American celebrities like Roger Willie and Gary Farmer plan to attend the event.

Throughout the 95th annual Inter-Tribal Indian Ceremonial’s Preview Night at Red Rock Park, residents and event organizers mixed and mingled at one of New Mexico’s most renown happenings.

Gallup’s Ceremonial is one of the Indian Capital’s top draws for tourism.

“Everything is going very well,” Dudley Byerley, president of the 2016 Ceremonial, said midway through the event. “There are people here from not only Gallup and McKinley County, but people from all over the state and from parts of Arizona and elsewhere.”
